About these numbers
BLS figures are series APU000074714, a national average that isn't seasonally adjusted. Shared figures are the median price per gal on receipts from people who turned on price sharing in the app. A month is published only after it ends and only once at least three people contributed. The page shows the median and how many people it came from; it never names a store, a location, or a person.
